Every year our village of Silverton holds a Street Market on the first Saturday of August (unfortunately co-insides with GBBF) to raise money for local causes - the main street is closed and completely given over to stalls and entertainment. Needless to say the local hostelries do quite well out of it and much enjoyment is had by all (so much so that one local brewer cannot remember how he got home one year!).
For some years now, Exe Valley Brewery has brewed a special beer for the event, to reflect the theme of the year's Street Market. This years' theme is mediaeval and we are brewing a dark, honey beer, abv 4.5% to help publicise the event. It is to be called Exe Calibre (with apologies to Glastonbury) and will be available to anyone who wants to try it from the beginning of July.
Do get in contact if you would like to try this 'one off' beer - only one or perhaps two brews are anticipated.
