Reading Beer Festival - queues?

Apr 11, 2006 3 Replies

Hello all

Could anyone tell me what the queues are like to get into Reading on a Friday dinnertime? I've just noticed the (sensible) warning on Reading's site saying you might have to queue, and as I'm coming from quite a long way away (from up in Lancashire), I'd like to know in advance if there's a likelihood that there'll be a bit of a delay in getting in.

TIA

There shouldn't be much delay getting in Friday lunchtime. The problems start late afternoon on the Friday (and Saturday). This year the entrance has been redesigned in an attempt to speed up admission but we do expect to reach site capacity at the busiest times.

It's not too bad during Friday daytime in my experience. Saturday is also OK during the day, it's the evening when it goes crazy. The weather obviously makes a difference.

It's a good festival, I think you'll enjoy it.

Thanks for that Allan and Paul. I'm really looking forward to it - the cider especially.
