Any recommendations for pubs in Southwark which are open on Saturday afternoons please?

Thanks, Lee.

Not a local by any means but my favourite is the Market Porter at Borough Market near London Bridge Station.

I'm sure it's open all day there's more at

Also, for a river seat and view, but not much else, the Anchor Bankside.

There are some nice ones round Borough Market - the Market Porter, Wheatsheaf (next door to the MP), and a new round the corner called The Rake, which is run by the people who own Utobeer and stocks all sorts of exotic bottles (albeit at real London prices).

A little bit further away is the Royal Oak in Tabard St. I think the Kings Arms round the back of Waterloo East counts as Southward.

I can vouch for those five personally, one that others praise but I haven't tried yet is the Lord Clyde.

Shipwrights Arms down Tooley St towards Tower Bridge is often good.

Well I guess they know their own opening times. Badly designed web site though.
