Winter Ales Winners

Green Jack's 8.5% 'Ripper' (Lowestoft, Suffolk) was voted CWBoB last week, I've just read that it was brewed as a homage to Trappist beer (as it's a pale one, I presume more along the Westie Tripel style?)

I tried this beer long ago (Norwich BeerFest?) & remembering enjoying it, but didn' t think "trappist".
