Hey Northwest gang (and I know you're out there) - here's a perfect excuse for a road trip to check out a new beer bar with some pizazz.
Mount Vernon's newest beer & wine & good food joint is throwing an outdoor music and brew fest, August 10th.
Local breweries in attendance: Orchard Street Brewery Boundary Bay Scuttlebutt La Conner Brewing Co Skagit River Brewing The Rockfish (Anacortes Brewery)
Sunday, August 10th, 1pm to 7pm, featuring 3 bands (outdoors in the street), BBQ, and tons of great beer. This is all happening inside and right in front of The Porterhouse.
The Porterhouse opened less than a year ago in Mount Vernon, WA and already has a big following. 15 taps of micros only and a fine wine selection are complemented by fantastic food. Bruce, the owner, has an affinity for Northwest brews (who doesn't?) and makes sure to stock and tap plenty. Prices are geared in the fine-dining range. The entire facility is non-smoking and has an open atmosphere... which is NOT drowned by the rowdies!
