polarware kettle filter options

I'm ready to get one of those 10-gallon polarware brew pots with a spigot and a metal filter. There seem to be two options for the filter. The most commonly available filter rests about 1.5" over the bottom of the kettle,

*above* the spigot. I assume that you get the last bits of filtered mash out by tipping the pot to drain that last inch and a half.

St Pats has a different setup. Their filter rests *below* the spigot. A siphon tube runs from the middle of the filter to the spigot. You're supposed to get more of the mash out that way. St Pats also boasts they use a different spigot. Theirs is made by Swagelok. They say it has "compression on the inside of the pot," but I don't know what that means.

I'm sure both setups work reasonably well. I don't know how to choose. If you have used either one, can you tell me how you like it? Does it drain well? Does the spigot ever get clogged with spent grain? Is it easy to clean? Are you happy with the result?

Thanks.
