I never try this tippy Yunnan. Personally, I am a Yunnan lover. I have tried wide range of tippy Yunnan which I considered as Imperial Yunnan. Few on-line vendor sells good Tippy Yunnan. I just thought, I want to share my Yunnan experience and hope RFDT readers will also put your thought on this issue. I am not talking about Golden Yunnan. I have tried twenty two different kinds of Tippy Yunnan or Imperial Yunnan. My experience say- when their are many tips in Yunnan with long medium twisted leafs call- Imperial Yunnan. Some Tippy Yunnan also called by Cheng-Hung or Dianhong.
It is rare to find Yunnan which leaves are tightly twisted. Can anyone tell me, why is that? Yunnan has wide range of complex taste. It is also a good blend tea. I want you guys to carry on this topic. My questions are, what are the difference between:
Yunnan Gold: Golden Yunnan : Imperial Yunnan: Tippy Yunnan
I have some thought and information but I want to know your thought first. I am trying to make a list of Yunnan and some other Chinese black tea. I hope that you will add all sort of Yunnan teas, so far you have tasted. Lets do it together. Thanks.

I think, I need to modify my question. What are the best Golden Yunnan/Yunnan gold and Tippy Yunnan/Imperial Yunnan you have tasted. My favorites are:
-Golden Yunnan: Imperial Golden Yunnan from Imperial Tea Court
-Imperial Yunnan: Golden Yunnan( Though the vendor say-Golden Yunnan) from TesSpring
Time to time some other Yunnans are also good such as- Yunnan Gold High grade from Silk Road, Imperial Yunnan from Upton and Black Gold from tea trader. But those two ITC and TeaSpring is my favorite. Thanks.

This vendor is located in Kunming China and ships directly from there, their price, including shipping, was somewhere in the neighborhood of $50 per 500g for SAL shipping (slow 20-60 days) and somewhat more for Air Mail shipment (7-10 days). Paying them is a little difficult, until you establish a history with them, as they will probably want to use Western Union to transfer the funds. Once they know you they are much more flexible.

have to admit that my batting average is much better picking Keemuns than Yunnans. I've been getting some of those "peppery" styles lately whereas I prefer the sweet maple types.
