I'm talking about Darjeeling black teas. When (month) does the new year's first flush start to show up for sale at the major mail-order places?
I'm trying to decide on how much so-so tea to buy now before getting in line to buy the good (popular) stuff next year ...

The earliest invoices can arrive in March (depending on the weather in Darjeeling), but they are usually expensive and not always the best. By June the bulk of the FF harvest is available, most of the time. Delivery here in the US is variable, depending on weather, foreign exchange and the whims of customs officials. Last season the first FF I got was from Namring, I think in late March, from Upton.
