Decanter Cork Replacement

I have a whisky decanter that a friend gave me years ago. The cork has decayed, and no longer presents a proper seal for the vessel. Is there any recourse for replacing this cork? I have done some searching on the internet, and really cannot find any information.

High quality cork can be obtained at just about any good fishing supply store. The kind that sells rods and reels. Really!
