We all know that Macallan's date on their bottle of 18 is not a vintage but.....
Anyone have any opinion of the 1986 and 1987 "vintages"? My local retailer has apparently run out of the old style of bottle and started selling the new style. I bought one of the new style bottles and noticed it was "1986", but my friend bought a new style bottle that was "1987". I thought they were quite different from each other, and both of them clearly inferior to the "1985".
Any opinions on this?
