STRONACHIE ???

I've just seen this Single Malt on the shelves for the first time, in a 12yr old bottling. I've never heard of this before, and none of the books I have mention it.

who? what? where? when?

Stronachie is actually Benrinnes 12 year old. I haven't tried it so can't vouch for quality but I myself Benriness at an older age, late teens and up.

hmmm. I wonder what they're up to with this? why are they claiming this to be the resurrection of an old name...?

so, intrigued, I bought a bottle. Here're my tasting notes:

bland lifeless totally lacking in any discernable character

I don't think I need to go on... what a waste of money
