Trip to Islay

I am just back from a trip to Auchentoshan and Bowmore. Very enjoyable. Also had a quick look at Ardbeg, Lagavulin, laphroaig... Had a Bowmore that was better than any whisky I've tasted in the past.

Islay is a beautiful Island and well worth a visit if you have a chance.

Was your trip this thursday and friday originating for Dublin ??

Yes, flew in on Thursday and got the boat out to Islay. It's much bigger than I thought. Very lucky with the weather.

They have weather on Islay too? I have just bought a bottle of 12 Bowmore, after not having had it for maybe 10 years and I was quite delighted by it. Eminently quaffable, in fact I prefer it to LotI. £14.99 from the Coop, 1l of Glen Moray is £23, not quite such a good deal.

Ok,

Sounds like a trip organised by Celtic Whisky Shop. I received an email on Wednesday, apparently there was an extra slot left...
