I have just been flipping through this newsgroup. It seems that there is no interest or comments on the 2003 Bordeaux, at all! Did I miss some great debates?

While on some fora great debates have raged about the quality of 2003 Bordeaux, I think most of us here have decided to wait till we've actually tasted some! Sorry we can't furnish 100+ posts on the '03 Pavie. :)
In my particular case, due to my preference for wines with balanced acidity, I tend to be wary of extremely hot vintages. So I'm not doing much in the way of '03 futures. The only hopefully cellarable 2003 I bought so far was Leoville-Barton (which got good reviews from both ends of the critical spectrum, the Decanter/J. Robinson end as well as RP). I also bought some cru b/lesser growths that I always buy (Gloria, du Tertre) just because prices seemed fair and I had a little extra cash at the time. But in general 2003 seems like a Bordeaux vintage to taste before buying.

The exception of course being Michael Pronay, who I believe did taste some barrel samples! Dale
