Hanzell Chard

What year? I have tasting notes for 1991-2002.

I have actually never had the Hanzell wines. But recently, El Molino and Mt Eden Estate have been the style I like.

A wine shop in Yountville suggested I try Hanzell and I plan to order some next week.

Do you find it much different than most of California? I don't care for Montelena or Cakebreads style.

Your thought.

Thanks Joe, Hope you are feeling much better!

No, it is a very typical California Chardonnay just more so. I went through a Chardonnay phase that I am now out of and I found these near the top along with Pahlmeyer and Kistler all in the same range of taste and price. I haven't had Marcassin or Konisgaard but those are ridiculously priced for Chardonnay so I guess I never will. No my max on a Chardonnay is Ramey. If you don't like Montelena you may not like Hanzell.
