Aloha Bay New Zealand wine

I am trying to find a source for this wine in the UK. I have tried many online wine suppliers by searching on google. None seem to have this wine in stock.

Can anyone offer any pointers or know of a supplier?

I have never heard of this wine here in New Zealand.

I can only assume that it is an export only brand - from one of the larger conglomerates.

Thus being, it will probably be some ordinary wine, and certainly not of high quality.

Why not try to find something like Palliser Estate; Stoneleigh; Villa Maria Reserve; Morton Estate; Giesen; Alan Scott; Wither Hills or any of the several dozen Marlborough labels available in main stream retail instead of some marketers folly turning the lowest quality juice into $$$$.

Geographically, there is no such place as Aloha Bay in NZ - Aloha being the classic Hawaiian greeting.

Perhaps it is Hawaiian Pineapple wine!

Many thanks for your advice, i'll investigate what my local wine store has to offer in the way of those names...

It was just a bottle I really enjoyed whilst down south.

Hi Matthew et al.

I have not heard of this either - it may be some obscure export label - have found that many NZ wineries use a different label / name for exports to the UK and US.

Couldn't even find anything on the WWW, and I'm a Librarian so usually have no trouble finding stuff- I would be pleased if you do find anything to let me know.

Cheers
