So I was looking at the good deals on French wines at the local Wine Warehouse and I came upon a bottle of Mercurey premier cru 2000 Clos des Combins L Menand Pere et Fils
Pale in color, think very dark rose, good acidity but watery and without much in the way of nose. A well preserved over the hill baby. I was hoping maybe a little air would help, but don't think it is going to happen,
Eric might have picked this one, but I hope he wouldn't pick "this" this one.

One thing that got lost in importer thread is that not everyone is as strong in every category. I might look to Eric Solomon or Jorge Ordoñez for Spain, Martine or Daniel Johnnes (Jeraboam) for Burgundy, Joe Bressner for Loire, etc. Obviously some just do limited regions -Terry Thiese in Germany, Austria, & Champagne; Marc de Grazia in Italy.
Glad it got better. 2000 is a lighter vintage to start with.
