Best way to sell vintage wine

My father-in-law has several vintage wines he would like to cash out of. Among others, he has some '73 Stag's Leap Cabernet. What is the best way sells these? Is eBay an option? It did not seem so after a cursory look. Any advise would be appreciated, but please do not make direct offers to buy. Thanks.

For a few bottles your best bet is probably winecommune.com. The other option is winebid.com , but I'm not sure they would deal with a few bottles (somewhere I thought I remembered a $500 or $1000 minimum). And you'd have to pay shipping to them, then another shipping to buyer when it sells. Winecommune you'd ship directly.

Price will depend a lot on verifiable storage conditions. Also, as a new seller on winecommune you'd probably not get quite as much as someone with a track record. Just FYI, winebid 12-month average for '73 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars CS is $92.
