California Wines With Unusual Names

As if the Smoking Loon and Screw Kappa Napa labels were not enough, Don Sebastiani & Sons now has a Bordeaux style blend red that they have named "Used Automobile Parts"! This name is in gold script on the bottle. The reasoning for this very unusual name is that it is an arbitrary collection of three words that you most likely will not forget. Then there is Twin Fin that was introduced last year. This summer it is available in 4 packs of 187 ml bottles in Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon with screw caps. The carton that holds the four little bottles is labeled Beach Cruiser at the top. I will leave it to someone else to try these wines and post tasting notes. Besides, I do not have a beach close enough to me to give the Twin Fin Beach Cruiser

4 pack a proper test.

I sell a lot of one called "Big Ass Cab" from Napa. Not bad for the price, but people pick it mostly for the label.

Some of my favorite names Cal wines belong to full bodied Zins.
