. Please do not drool all over yourself when you read the wine list. I do not know any details about who supplied the wines, who gave the dinner etc. The dinner ended with the same 1811Tokaji Eszencia that Broadbent raved about. You can see it in the middle of a photo of some of the wines. It has the type of label used by Berry Bros. for the eszencia they imported in the 1930s, including the 1811. I found this menu on doing a search concerning Tokaji.

Wow! I had assumed as I was reading the menu that it was from a meal prepared in the early 20th C. It wasn't until the end that I went back to the top of the page and saw the date. What a lineup of wines! I wonder if François Audouze had something to do with it? Hard to imagine that he wouldn't have known about it...

And that if there he wouldn't have declared every wine is "a monument, " that it " causes a swelling of great emotion", or is "obviously one of the great wines." It's fun to read Francois, but I'd buy a wine based on Chrish Peel's rec before his (reminds me, need to post a CWC ad).

CWDJTXYZ, thanks for the very interesting menu!

wouldn't have known about it...

Message from Murray---Dis vas da alte cocka dinner group for da benefit of da gout--a normal meal for William Howard Taft

Can you repeat that in ladino please? ;-)

I think I found what you want to know about the menu and who is responsible for that dinner and many more. See

. I hope you read French, as an English version does not appear to be available.

If you will do a search on the above url at Google, you can select to translate the above page and the several links on it into English. The translation seems fairly decent for a machine translation.

How did they come up with these wines?

Hello everybody, As I've found out there are a lot of machines translation in the real- time, but not all of the good ones support Chinese. I hope that in this group I would be able to receive suitable information about what I am interested in. Regrads.
