Can anyone recommend where to get a fine bottle of Chateau Petrus in Birmingham, Alabama?
The closest I have found is in Decatur Georgia:

Buy it online. You'll have a better selection. Plan on spending from $1,500 up to $15,000 for a bottle. Unless you or the reciepient are under thirty, you should buy a bottle that's at least ten years old at a minimum as Petrus requires about twenty years generally to be at it's best under good storage conditions. Other than through a private cellar you will have a hard time finding a bottle in Birmingham as most Petrus never makes it out of the major US markets (NYC, Chicago, Las Vegas, etc.)
Good advice here. I think in Alabama you can have wine shipped to your local ABC?
