For lovers of Sauternes, and Barsac in particular, I thought I would point out the web site of Cru Barrejats.

Mireille's wines are fabulous, comparable to Yquem yet far more affordable, but almost impossible to find, the produciton is minuscule.

The web site is particularly well done, made by Remi Loisel, himself a winemaker. I hope the english translations are not too bad (I did them). Some of the french tasting notes are near impossible to translate...

Sounds interesting! Where can I find this wine here in California?

BTW, I was wondering why the photos show the old, traditional bung hammer on the barrels. Those look like modern, silicone bungs to me, which require no hammer. Is the hammer a prop? :^)
