English wine -- Sharpham Vineyards?

Here's an oddity mentioned in another ng: Sharpham Vineyards in the UK.

The post said they were "very successful." (Or words to that effect.) Has anyone tasted this nectar? According to the web site, most of the whites are made from a grape I don't know, "Madeleine Angevine." Is anyone in the "more traditional" areas using this grape? Strat's place had some info on it, but that's about all I found.

I'm not familiar with Sharpham Vineyards, or any other winery in the UK for that matter, but I have tasted a Madeleine Angevine wine made in the US in, if I recall, San Juan Island, in Washington. It was a pleasent, floral dry white.
