Hello,
as we will be travelling to Slovenia and Austria in a couple of weeks, I wonder if contributors to this NG could give me some advice on "not-to-be-missed" wine estates in those countries?
Recommandations on wine farms-cum-accommodation would also be appreciated.

In Slovenia two months ago I tasted some wonderful stuff from Goriška Brda area by Valter Sirk, also from Edi Simcic and from Valter Mlecnik. Previous times I have been very impressed with Movia.
When near Ljubljana, do not miss a stop for dinner at Gostilna pri Danilu in Škofja Loka, truly great. The place is run by the Carman family (Vesna and Dušan, and theiur son Gašper who knows al ot about wine).

In Burgenland, a great winery with a fine restaurant, wine bar and very nice guest-rooms is Braunstein in the town of Purbach:

In Styria, you can stay and taste at the winery Tschermonegg. They've just finished a complete remodel, including a pool with a spectacular view of the countryside:

I forgot- at the Tscheppe winery in Styria they have really beautiful rooms for guests.
