As I will spend a week in Barcelona, may I ask you if you have some advice on restaurants and wine bars over there?
Any suggestions about wine/cava estates in Catalunya would also be appreciated (please take into account that we will not take the car to Spain...)
Thanks
Yves

Without a car you will not be able to vist wineries.
In Barcelona there is Vila Viniteca on c/ Agullers, 7 just off the via Layetana, and Lavinia on the Avinguda Diagonal 605 (not quite as big as in Paris, the largest wine store in the world... but still very large)
Restaurants? Too many to mention. Beware, lots of really poor fast food places too. You get the best and the worst... Spend a little more but not too much and go to Jean Luc Figueras.
At the restaurants you maight be tempted to try Priorat wines, these are excellent but prices have gone ridiculous. Try the "lesser" wines of Tarragona area and Falset, Montsant, or go for easy but very good whites of Alella. The Empordá is now aiming much higher and you can find great wines, try Mas Estela
Also go to the market on the Ramblas, the famous Boqueria, with fantastic food and lots of bars and restaurants, cannot get more typical catalá...
Have fun.
