Everyday wines/ everyday foods

Hi folks,

We have had this discussion quite often on this board - as also wines with Indian food, but I could not find a discussion recent & suitable enough to extend with this comment. So pardon starting a new thread with a short note.

I recently got a bottle of Francois Dulac 2003 VdP Cotes du Thongue (upon the recommendation, of all the people, of my supermarket sales-assistant). At about 3 euros for a liter bottle in Frankfurt, I expected to open it either when none-too-interessted friends were around or one was in the mood for an easy drinking nothing special.

Being Indian, we make spicy curries or pilafs very often and to my surprise, this was such a good match that I intend to buy a case the coming weekend. I did not even think about tasting notes - never expecting anything worthwhile after all. But I can do it the next time I open a bottle, if there were interest.

The question that I have is: does anyone know which grapes would be mixed in this wine? The Etikett is of no help.

Cheers
