Food pairing question

Hi all

I was hoping some of you could advice me on good foodpairings for my 1998 Meursault (Francois Jobard)

I'm thinking rabbit or chicken with a heavy sauce of some kind...

I drank this Meursault in Paris with chicken breast laced with a mild, somewhat sweet curry. Magnificent.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'a heavy sauce,' but to my palate, the wine is characterized by a steely, dry white supported by lots of tropical fruit. I'd hesitate pairing it with anything that might over power it. (That's for California Rieslings.)

Hi Thomas,

I would say that the chicken or rabbit would be fine. I would not have a heavy sauce though for the same reason mntioned by Ed Jay. You may want to cook the chicken or rabbit in a tiny bit of the wine itself.
