If you have to drive anywhere tonight, be very careful. My wife and I will be at home enjoying broiled lobster tails and a bottle of bubbles.

Happy New Year's to all.
Looking forward to tonight. I came home at 3 to Wovel my driveway (my favorite Christmas present ever!

no affiliation except as a happy shoveler). We'll have a light dinner of clams and udon, then we're going to a party at friends. We're supposed to bring appetizers, I'm doing potatoes with sour cream and salmon roe as well as sausage in a sherry rosemary sauce; Betsy is doing shrimp deviled eggs and pears with bacon. Alex the host has about a dozen family members from France here, he used to have a restaurant in Paris so food is dependably good. I'll leave Betsy to decide if she wants to not drink, I'm going to! Will happily walk the mile home if Betsy wants to indulge (though it's going to be chilly).
Tomorrow blackeyed peas with a ham hock and greens.
