Help in identifying italian wine please

A friend gave me this bottle of italian wine a few years ago, and I don't know what it is. Which is probably why I never opened it.

It's red. The label says - Grunello di Montalcino, denominazione di origine controllata e garantita, Siro Pacenti, vendemmia 1994, Maontalcino Italia.

Anyone familiar with this? I am familiar with California red wines but that is all.

thx, Burt

Brunello di Montalcino

Siro Pacenti is one of the better producers, if you like oaky Brunello. 84 is not a bad year, not a remarkable one in Brunello area but good.

Yes, 94 Brunello di Montalcino. That was a typo on my part. I do like oaky Cabs so maybe I will like this. I guess I should just open it and find out.

thx for the info.
