How can I sell part of my collection locally?

Jan 26, 2007 3 Replies

Hello,

I live in Fairfield County Connecticut and want to sell some of my wine but don't want to do it on line...looks too tedious. Does anyone know where I can go or who I can contact to sell?

Thanks,

Ralph

The "too tedious" is winecommune.com or winebid.com? They're probably the best option unless you have enough of a collection to interest a brick and mortar auction house.

You might try looking at localwineevents.com to see if there are any wine groups in your area,.

Unsure re CT, but most states are pretty tough on individuals trying to sell wine to public. If you want to email me I'll send you email addresses for a couple of Westchester and Fairfield retailers who might buy your wine, depending on what you're selling.

Thank you!! I'll check it out. Have you sold on either of those online site? Seems like a long drawn out process.

I've actually never sold wine, period, though I've traded some I decided I wasn't fond of. I do know folks who have sold on both sites, and indeed it takes a while to get money.

If you're > Thank you!! I'll check it out.
