this was the main wine for the night and it was good enough, better than the 2001 Marques de Riscal which was mildly corked, but after three bottles, it was time for desert and I had a Banyuls Rimage choclatle ont he nose nad very figgy, but one of the gueats brougth a Mad Fish Shirax from OZ. I normally don't do animal wines, but this stuff was damn good a really fine syrah without any trace of oak, just good honest syrah. damn I had to have a glass of each . . .
