New Topic: holiday grilling and wines...

Hi everyone,

Here's one that combines food and wine: what's your favorite grilled meat and wine combination?

A personal favorite is grilled leg of lamb, stuffed with rosemary and garlic, accompanied by a Shiraz. Fantastic pairing.

Another one is pork chops topped with grilled onions and apples, served with Pinot Noir. Again, another winner.

With holidays upon us (4th here, 14th in France, etc etc), I'm sure everyone will be prepping a bbq sooner or later. What are your favorite pairings? Would love to learn about some new recipes.

Thanks,

David

For Christmas we roast a turkey on the grill and add some wet wood bark for a smoked flavor - it is the most tender and juicy turkey we've ever had. It pairs nicely with a zinfandel - a favorite is Ravenswood old vines. 1999 was a good year, as was 1997.
