Riedel "O" Tumblers

I got some decent knock-offs of the O tumblers recently. They do indeed work like a real wine glass when it comes to opening up the nose, as expected. I find the larger tumbler is a little hard to get a grip on at first and the technique for swirling is different since you don't have the leverage of the stem.

I have the Bdx. sized bowls and they are OK. I have never really gotten comfortable with them, either in use, or when handwashing them. Maybe more time would improve my comfort level, but so far, they are just oddities in my glassware collection. I'd suggest getting a few, and using them. You may well like the feel, etc. Now, I'm with Ed on this one.

Tried them last week - good for wine bouquet - hard to get a grip. I kept thnking I was going to drop mine. They wouldn't last long with greasy hands at a mediaeval banquet. Cheers! Martin

I've drunk from them. I don't like them. I'm a traditionalist and they don't look or feel right to me.

Personally I like stems better. You're going to have to try them for yourself. I think its going to be one of those you either like them or you don't decisions.

Tried them last friday night. I prefer stems, also.
