[TN] '09 Pepiere

With a dinner of pan fried black bass tonight (can you tell that we've got a great new fish store in town? Jean's ecstatic), I opened:

2009 Domaine de la Pépiere Muscadet SeM "sur lie" nose: minerals, citrus, a hint of white stone fruit palate: crisp acidity, more body than is typical for this wine, beautiful balance

The '09 edition of this perennial favorite (this was the later release) doesn't disappoint as it combines the crispness and minerality that we've come to expect with a richness and depth of fruit that lives up to the hype of this vintage. For the princely sum of $12.99, it remains a QPR winner.

I even liked the supposedly inferior 1st release./ :) Good stuff, year in, year out
