[TN] '09 Grand Traverse Riesling

Tonight, after a hectic Saturday of Andrew's soccer game and birthday party, we decided to get some takeout Thai food and opened with it:

2009 Chateau Grand Traverse Riesling Semi-Dry (Michigan) nose: white stone fruit, minerals, a hint of petrol palate: nearly dry, clean and refreshing, light but not thin

This was purchased in Michigan this summer for the princely sum of $10.69 in a local supermarket. Of the 4 or 5 vintages I've had of this wine, this was in my estimation the finest and indeed the finest domestic Riesling of any sort that I've had. Served blind, I would be interested to see where people would place it, as I think that it bears a fair resemblance to a German feinherb or kabinett bottling.
