Tonight's dinner consisted of leftover rabbit in mustard sauce with mashed sweet potato. To accompany it, I opened:
2009 Clos de la Roilette (Alain Coudert) Fleurie nose: juicy cranberry with a hint of grapefruit, minerals palate: fair acidity, velvety smooth, rich, dark fruit
As usual, this wine shades to the darker side of Gamay fruit, but had lovely depth and aromatic qualities. Less acidic than is the norm, but still well focused and very drinkable. No hurry on this wine, either. I'm glad that I have more.
