I realized that I left off notes on a cooking wine (which I tasted 2 bottles of). The 2013 Michel Goubard Bourgogne Blanc (Cotes Chalonnaise) was quite cheap ($9). First bottle was a clean Chardonnay with little apparent oak and good freshness, second showed a bit of age and was a bit clipped. . OK for the price even for second bottle. B-/B, C+. .
With assorted leftovers (pork burger, collards, potatoes) during a Zoom call Monday, the 1985 Ch. Pichon-Lalande (375). Fully mature in half bottle, this retains freshness and is quite lovely. Cassis, cigarbox, leather. Not a powerhouse, but elegant and fun. A-/B+
No wine Tues, Wednesday Impossible burgers and the 2014 Coudert/Roilette Fleurie Oops.This is pretty tannic and tight, I checked label to see if I had pulled a Cuvee Tardive but it was regular. Some raspberry and plum, floral notes began to peek out. But I had a 4 AM car service coming so didn?t follow long. ????
Thursday was 18 hours in transit to Sacarmento, no wine, nor Friday or Saturday when I unexpectedly came home alone.

2008 F Cotat Culs de Beaujeu Sancerre Just what I needed after a wine drought. Bright citrus and pit fruits, wax, chalky mineral. Vibrant acids, long length. Not quintessential Sancerre, but quintessential Cotat. A-
Main was roast chicken, accompanied by pasta with tomato/pork/mushroom sauce
2000 Ch. Gloria Plush, ripe., cassis and chocolate, lower acids, ready to go. B
2004 Produttori del Barbaresco Pora Barbaresco Riserva This is really young, tannic structure, assertive acids, needs more time than we had. But think this will be really good.
Monday swordfish, crab pansotti in a lemon butter sauce, spinach, salad. Yeah, I know the 2019 Huet Le Mont Vouvray Sec is too young, but I enjoyed anyway. Peach, citrus, honey, wet rocks. Sure this will be better in 15-20 years, but not shut down yet, and quite lovely. A-/B+
