At Jean's urging I cooked a paella tonight and, because she wanted a red wine with it, pulled from the cellar:
2009 Dom. Ganevat Cote de Jura "L'Enfant Terrible" nose: strawberries, minerals, smoke, gamey meat palate: petillance, light body, bright acidityJean, no great fan of the "weird" wines I sometimes foist upon her, proclaimed this the most inspirational wine she'd had in a good long while. Great fun and a spectacularly good match with the paella.
