Well have been here 2 days and hit 20 tasting rooms so far. Not that impressed right now. Saviah and Rotie high on my list but QPR better in most of the rest of the world. Will hit up 5 more tomorrow before driving back to Seatlle. I spit. If I am missing something here would like to know. Going to Woodinville Wednesday to hit about 7 tasting rooms. The really top producers here seem to be all wine mailing list only and don't offer tastings. That was quite disappointing. Got a lot of recommendations only to find they will never let you come to these places.

Well hit the airport area today and much better. Dunham, Buty, Le Chateau stood out. Jay Miller was at Dunham and passed out in a chair. We thought about tickling his nose but this was nixed by the group.
My favorites are Abeja for a more delicate Syrah and outstanding Chard. Buty does really nice mod priced wines. Leonetti (im on mail list, took 7 years) and Cayuse...not on list yet. K vintners /Charles smith has great stuff. Downtown I like Fort Walla Walla, inexpensive and flavorful, and Spring Valley.
Wish you had a better experience, Great restaurant called Saffron...casual but amazing!
