Didn't want to opine that but I tasted a lot of N. Rhones in Tain a couple of years ago and avoided the whites like the plague. If I want flowery wine I will go with a viognier, I never could figure out what to do with Marsanne.

I can't figure out what to do with viognier. I like the wine (at least by itself) but haven't figured out a good pairing. Any hints from the gallery?

I will relate to you what Ian Hoare related to me: scallops make a good pairing. Give it a try.

Scallops make sense, likewise a fairly light fish like sole with a non asssertive sauce, though I might be tempted to go Chablis with such.

Thanks to both you and Mark. I'll give it a try. I guess that Sauvignon Blanc will have to wait a little longer. :)
