Wine Direct Shipping Needs New Yorkers' Support

Feb 18, 2005 0 Replies

Despite fierce opposition from wine wholesaler middlemen, Governor Pataki's budget continues to include language that, if passed, will allow New Yorkers to purchase wines from out-of-state wineries licensed to ship legally into New York.

The language in the Governor's bill helps wine lovers, supports your local wine industry, and will add at least $3 million each year in new tax revenues, according to the State's own economic analysis.

Please don't let the middlemen determine what wines you can enjoy! We urge you to show your support for direct-to-consumer wine shipments!
