I notice talk in the beer-brewing newsgroup about making "clones" of various commercial brews, but I haven't found anything similar about wines.
I'm primarily a mead-head, so I really don't know much about wine beyond "red", "white", "dry", "sweet", and "fruity". My SO's taken a liking to Quady's Electra Red. Does anyone have a recipe for something similar?

The subject of clones as it applies to winemaking is a lot different than with beer. The beer guys are talking about making brew that closely resembles in style/flavor some particular commercial brand.
When a winery releases a Dijon clone Chardonnay, e.g., they are referring to where the cuttings of the vines originated from. Many vineyards are planted with different clones of the same varietal depending on specific miroclimates within the field and/or to increase complexity in the finished product.

I assume that by clone you mean duplicate. When it comes to good wines, wineries cannot duplicate last years wines. It is too dependent on the weather and the soil and the age of the vines and a million other things. That said, you might try "Making Wines Like Those You Buy" by Duncan and Acton. Dated but good reading.
