Forgot to stir Kieselsohl

About a month ago I fined several 27 liter carboys, some were Gewurztraminer and others Riesling, with bentonite followed by a moderate dose of Kieselsohl. I foolishly forgot to stir in the Kieselsohl and the wine failed to clear. There was a moderate amount of sediment at the time but I decided to try stirring one of them about a week later and there was no improvement, in fact, it's still not as clear as the ones I did not stir.

Are bench trials recommended with a view to doing it properly this time or should I simply filter although the wine is not as clear as I would like at the time of filtering, it's not too bad.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Cheers,

Glen Duff
