Leek wine

Dec 01, 2003 2 Replies

Hi folks,

I'm new to the winemaking. Have been making from the kits, have made some from ribena, and now it's time to start at the proper stuff. I have a lot of leeks available, so I might have a go at the leek wine. There's a recipe for it on the excellent Jack Keller site. Has anyone tried it or would the leek wine be rotten enough?

cheers!

Gary, I made it twice, both times intended as a cooking wine. But the second batch was better than the first and we drank all but one bottle, which was indeed used for cooking.
