I made a batch of apple wine about 6 months ago and forgot to clean out my primary after transfer. Anyway, it has set for all that time with gross lees and a bit of liquid in it ever since. Now I'm ready to make some grape wine and am worried about cleanliness. There is a deep layer of mold that smells horrible on the bottom. I have campden tablets, but I'm afraid this won't negate the smell of funkiness coming from the plastic. Should I use bleach then campden tabs or what??? Please help!!!
Oooops! Mold in my primary!

I'd soak it in bleach for an hour or so, rinse well, and then try either an enzyme deodorizer or an oxygen-based cleaner such as Oxy-Clean - or maybe both.
