Re: Expiry date on Acid Testing Kit

Using the good ol' phenolphthalein / NaOH routine. Instructions say

NaOH can degrade significantly in 6 months. It can still be used but must be standardized to retain accuracy.

Instructions also say to dilute reds with distilled water in a 1:3 > ratio so color change is more apparent. Does that procedure alter pH > in any way that I need to accommodate for? >

pH change of juice/wine from dilution is nominal.
