Well perhaps you should have read up a bit more before dumping in all that sulphite. Now you can either throw in the towel, and throw away a lot of money, or you could try and salvage your must and turn it into something drinkable. Many good suggestions were given in the other thread, I humbly suggest you follow them and make yourself a wine. A yeast starter isn't that hard to do so I can honestly see no reason to get upset about having to make one.

If all of this sounds like too much work, no one is twisting your arm to make wine, and I'm sure you can buy pre-made wine wherever it is you live.

Sorry if my tone is a bit caustic, it just bothers me to see someone get

20 gallons of must and then decide to toss it all away over a little mistake that is fairly easy to fix.

Please don't give up. It is fixable. Look at this as a learning experience, and go forward. I wouldn't throw out anything unless you're absolutely, positively, sure you don't like it, or it is spoiled. Hang in there, we've all been there. Darlene
