Stout Billy's

Hi there! I'm new to the New England area and was wondering about your opinions on Stout Billy's in Portsmouth, NH. Thanks Patti

Nice guy, but will talk your ear off (BTW, his name isn't Billy, just the business). Good prices on some stuff, not very good on others. IMHO, he has some questionable practices concerning brewing and wine making, but I think all of the home brew stores in the area do. At least he actually brews and makes wine, which I can't say for some of the people working other local shops. I haven't tasted anything he has made, so maybe his techniques work for him.

His website is pretty bad. It's not up to date and I don't think he accepts orders from it. It's more like an outdated inventory of what he carries.

I don't shop there too much, but that's because it is pretty far from me and there are a couple homebrew shops a lot closer.

Waltham, Ma. Just off Rt. 128. Good people to do business with, very good service & very good inventory.

I think this is in Woburn. And I disagree with your comments. IMHO, the worst in the area.

BTW, I have no affiliation with any homebrew supply stores. I've just shopped them all (all I know of any way) at one time or another.
