I am a total beginner. I bought a garden last year, so now I will start my winemaking.
I know that people do it in Hungary. But do enyone know a recipe for it??

Check out Jack's site under wine recipes - he has some for watermelon. That's where I got my watermelon recipe. There's a lot of great info on his site too.

and scroll about halfway down the page to the box that says "Watermelon Wines." There are 10 recipes there, but read the prelude carefully. If you don't ferment it very fast, the juice will spoil before it becomes wine. Watermelon wine is consistently the most difficult wine I know of to make.

I have not made watermelon wine but I have run into many people who have tried. It is not for the beginner. If you are a beginner I would recommend you try almost anything else first.

I agree with you Ray. My first batch wasn't the best, but I think I did much better the second time around. Only time will tell.... There are easier wines to start with. Darlene
It is worth the effort, as your successive batches will improve, as your ability improves!
