Should I use this Brew Pot

This is my first brew and I bought a new cheep 35 qt stainless steel Stock pot for @ $45

I filled it with 5 gal. water and boiled it for 45 minutes at a low boil. Just wanted a dry (or wet) run through. After I empty the pot I noticed that I could see some rust or metal on the bottom that wasn't there before I used it. I know this is a cheep pot and the stainless steel isn't too thick.

My question is, is this going to be a problem with my brew. I plan on using a gas burner in the garage to cook my brew.

Thanks for the help

If it's rusting then it's definitely a problem. Let the supplier know about your problem and maybe they'll replace it or refund your purchase price. Rust and beer do not go together well at all.

Hello all, new here. But, anyway, his rust isn't extract, because he just used plain water. I'm betting that the pot is made as cheaply as the price suggests!
