The Navigation at Mirfield has its thrice-yearly beer festival from Thursday teatime until last orders on Sunday this week. Over 35 beers will be on at once, all handpulled and cellar-cooled, mostly from the South-west, including two beers from the Blue Anchor at Helston, beers rarely seen outside the pub let alone the county of Cornwall.
There is no admission charge and beers are all very reasonably priced, probably around £2.60/pint.
Expect Saturday to be very busy with the usual influx of ale trailers in addition to festival fans.
